Michael is a Partner at the boutique private client law firm of Perkins Fahey, which is focused on the practice of business, property and estate law for closely held businesses, families and private clients.
Michael and his co-author Robert Monahan originated the Estate Planning framework that places social and community contribution as an initial strategic choice of client’s undertaking estate planning.
This approach has been taught at universities for over a decade and is an intrinsic model that Michael follows in his private client practice.
Michael focuses on helping his clients meet the challenges of many kinds of transitions in their lives ranging for the retention or disposal of their business interests and other assets to retirement, ageing, dispute resolution and succession. This has led him to working increasingly with clients connected to multiple legal jurisdictions through birth or migration and those clients who want their wealth retained to serve the needs of multiple generations.
